We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the Canadian Cultural Resources Association (CCRA)!
The CCRA is now officially registered as a non-profit organization in Canada. This important milestone strengthens our ability to advocate for the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) sector at the national level.
Also, our website is live! You can now visit us online at : www.canadiancrassociation.org
The site provides information about our mission, initiatives, and membership options.
By becoming a member, you’ll help support and grow a robust and thriving Cultural Resource Management industry. Ensuring that consultants, firms, and practitioners have a unified voice in discussions about procurement, regulation, and ethical business practices. Together, we aim to ensure that the cultural heritage we steward is understood, respected, and preserved for future generations.
Taking action!
We recently reached out to Minister Dominic LeBlanc to request a meeting regarding Bill C-5. Our goal is to ensure that archaeology and cultural heritage considerations are integrated early in the planning stages of federal projects — including timelines, logistics, and budgeting. As practitioners directly involved in regulatory compliance, heritage protection, and collaboration with Indigenous communities, we believe that early coordination with cultural resource professionals leads to development that is not only efficient, but also responsible, respectful, and well-executed.
The CCRA was also represented at the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA) Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina in September. This event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with our American counterparts, exchange insights on CRM policy and strengthen cross-border collaboration between our professional communities.

2026 Conference

Warm regards,
The CCRA Steering Committee
